Tribute to Mummy Rose Idu Onyia Sis. Rose, I wished we gathered here, today, for your 75th birthday. We would have been blowing the trumpet and dancing. But quite unfortunate, it isn't. But who are we to question your exit, Jesus called your name, and you answered. The Strong Woman has gone home, to her maker. It was so sudden to all of us around her but not to her. She went to the salon to make her hair and clean her nails, for the appointment with the Lord and at the appointed time, she heard the Lord call out her name and she answered without turning back. Mummy Rose, was a mother in Israel, she was the “cathedral” herself and was known for being charitable, compassionate and forthright. She was a child of God and a God chaser. There was no pretences with her and was known for calling a spade by its name, almost to the point of stubbornness. She was unapologetic about living the good life, as a King’s kid - from her food, to her dressing and whatever was around her. Her beauty was not only seen on the outside but it was inside and outside. Yours is not a goodbye, it’s a goodnight. You ran your race and you finished it well and your crown awaits you. We miss you, here, but we take consolation in the understanding that we will meet again on the resurrection morning. Precious in the sight of God is the death of his Saint. Chux Amaechi ( Pastor )
