TRIBUTE TO OUR BELOVED AUNTY IDU ONYIA Today, we honour the life of our beloved Aunty Idu Onyia—a remarkable woman of faith, love, and unwavering devotion to God. She was not only my mother's elder sister but also a cherished mother, aunt, and a source of strength to everyone who knew her. Aunty Idu lived a life that reflected her deep Christian faith. She trusted God through every season, served Him faithfully, and inspired others by the way she lived. Her kindness, humility, compassion, and steadfast belief in God's promises were evident in her daily life. She reminded us that true greatness is found in loving God and serving others. To my mother, she was more than an elder sister; she was a confidante, a guide, and a lifelong companion. Their bond was built on love, respect, and shared memories that will forever remain precious. While her passing leaves an irreplaceable void, we are grateful for the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Though we mourn her departure, we do not grieve without hope. As the Scriptures remind us, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die" (John 11:25). We take comfort in knowing that Aunty Idu has finished her earthly race and has gone home to be with the Lord she loved and served so faithfully. Her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and selfless love will continue to inspire us for generations to come. We will remember her not only for the years she lived but for the lives she touched and the example she set. Farewell, dear Aunty Idu Onyia.
