A Tribute to My Beloved Elder Sister, Idu Onyia There are some people whose love and presence become the very foundation of our lives. To me, my beloved elder sister, Idu Onyia, was one of those rare and precious people. Words can hardly express the depth of my loss. You were not just my sister—you were my confidante, my strength, my prayer partner, and the person I could always turn to in every season of life. Whenever I was burdened, afraid, or uncertain, you were always there. I never had to face life's challenges alone because I knew I had you standing with me. One of the greatest gifts God gave me was you. You faithfully prayed with me and tirelessly interceded on my behalf. You carried my burdens before the throne of grace as though they were your own. Your prayers brought comfort to my troubled heart, strengthened my faith, and reminded me that God never abandons His children. Knowing that you were praying for me gave me courage to face every challenge. Your love was genuine, your heart was selfless, and your faith was unwavering. You lived your life as a devoted Christian, not only by what you said but by how you loved, served, forgave, and cared for others. You reflected Christ in your daily life, and your quiet strength inspired everyone around you. Today, my heart aches because I can no longer pick up the phone to hear your voice, ask for your prayers, or run to you when I need encouragement. I already miss those moments more than words can say. Yet, even in my sorrow, I find comfort in knowing that you are now resting in the presence of the Lord whom you loved and served so faithfully. Thank you for every prayer you prayed for me, every word of encouragement you spoke, every sacrifice you made, and every moment you stood by my side. Thank you for loving me unconditionally and for always pointing me back to God. Your absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but your legacy of faith, love, kindness, and devotion will remain in my heart forever. I will continue to cherish your memory and strive to live by the example of faith that you left behind. Rest peacefully, my dear sister, Idu Onyia. Your work on earth is done, and your reward is with the Lord. Though I will miss you every day, I rejoice in the hope that this separation is only temporary. By God's grace, we shall meet again in His glorious presence. Until that day, you will forever remain in my heart—deeply loved, greatly cherished, and never forgotten. May your beautiful soul continue to rest in perfect peace.
